State Senate votes 28-19 to Abolish the Death Penalty

The Washington State Senate, on a 28-19 roll call, voted to abolish the death penalty in the Evergreen State.
"One step closer to justice for all," tweeted Gov. Jay Inslee, who imposed a moratorium on capital punishment five years ago.
