(1) This figure is the number of victims involved in the person's conviction.  In some cases (such as Robert Yates) the actual number of murdered victims is higher.

(2) Cal Brown's reversal is the 19th death sentence reversal since 1981 (11 have been reversed since 2000).  83% (19 of the 23 “completed” death reviews) of the death penalty cases in Washington have been reversed.  Of those 19 reversals, all but two have resulted in a sentence other than death on remand (the final two are still undecided).
